Applications The lint shaver is designed for the removal of lint, little balls of fuzz, hair or dust from the surface of textile fabric or furniture upholstery. Any attempt to remove the shaving head will cause the appliance to switch off automatically in order to prevent personal injury or damage to the appliance. 5 V (size C); the use of alkaline batteries is preferable, as they are longerlasting than the standard carbon-zinc batteries. The batteries are inserted as follows: - Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and take it off. - Insert the batteries according to the schematic diagram inside the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). - Replace the compartment cover and slide it back until it is heard locking into place. When the lint chamber is empty, a significant decrease in operating speed is a clear indication that the batteries are exhausted, and that they should be replaced. When they come into contact with the surface of the area to be treated, a distinct noise can be heard. - Guide the shaving head gently and without exerting any pressure over the fabric to be treated. If the motor seems to lose power, or if it stops working completely, the lint chamber may be over-full. General care and cleaning Before cleaning the appliance, turn the motor off and remove the batteries from the battery compartment. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water. - To empty the lint chamber, slide it out of the appliance in the direction indicated by the arrow.
